Hi everyone! Today I will talk to you about jacket and especially about trench coat with my first look on this blog!
The trench coat
The trench coat is definitely a must-have in my wardrobe and I have of course selected it for my capsule wardrobe. It’s perfect for fall, especially when it’s getting cold in the morning but it’s a lot warmer in the afternoon. In short, when we don’t know how to dress in the morning! I love the very classy effect it gives to a silhouette and makes it very Parisian.
I’ve bought my trench 2 years ago at Pimkie and it’s really high quality. For now I don’t use the belt to close it because it makes me feel wrapped like a candy and I like the effect it makes when the wind blows in my trench. I would advise you to choose a trench that is fairly classic with very few extras. That way it’ll last you several years and will stay a classic through them all.
To go with this trench coat, which could suffice by itself, I decided to wear these little pumps that I absolutely love from Mango Violeta. The heel is perfect for walking all day and they are super comfy. And of course, you can never go wrong with a black base for your look. I find it very classy and you really can express your creativity even in full black. And, as a bonus, it refines the silhouette 😉
Feel good in your clothes
I just love this look. It’s super comfy and it really helps you feel bold. It might not be the latest trend but I feel good in it and that’s all that matters. Didn’t you ever buy the latest trend and, at the end of the day, felt like there was an issue with your look and with how your clothes made you feel? Sometimes something won’t suit you no matter what and it might just be that you don’t feel good wearing it.
I think no one should blindly follow fashion even when it doesn’t speak to us. You can of course have a few trendy pieces to spice up a look but it shouldn’t wander too far from your personal style or you might end up not feeling comfortable wearing it. When you put your “uniform”, whether it’s a pair of jeans and sneakers or a full-leopard outfit, and that makes you fell at ease, it shows right away and you’re shining!
With that in mind, I decided that I’ll do a series of articles on this blog designed to help you find your personal style and avoid falling into the traps of compulsive shopping ignited by all the “you have a rather classic style” or “All the basics that you MUST have in your closet”.
I hope that the process will be as beneficial to you as it has been for me.
And now, be ready for the look!
